KEIGHLEY Healthy Living is inviting people to learn hand weaving as part of craft sessions at its premises in Scott Street.

The sessions, entitled Threads of Life, will start on Tuesday October 22 from 10am to noon, and are free to anyone aged over 55.

The workshops are run by community interest company HART Yorkshire, whose skilled tutors will guide participants in the craft of tapestry weaving.

The tutors enter help people share time with others and enjoy creative activity.

Threads of Life is a one-year project that addresses issues around isolation and loneliness in older people through creative well-being.

The project is funded by the National Lottery Awards for All and Keighley Town Council. Call 01535 677177 for more information and to book a free place.

Keighley Healthy Living is also running sessions for people wishing to develop their art skills.

Artist Victoria Alderson is leading four-week courses exploring different mediums and techniques – drawing, pastels, acrylics and watercolour – each week.
