A KEIGHLEY woman had her head shaved at work to raise cash for local animal charities close to her heart.

Helen Wilkinson was watched by colleagues at NSF Controls Ltd, based at Ingrow Bridge Works, as she shared her locks to also raise awareness of the charities' work.

Bryoni Rutter, from NSF, said: "Through family, friends and work colleagues Helen raised over £420 which she then split between Aireworth Dogs in Need, Yorkshire Cat Rescue and Pink Paws Cat Rescue.

"She really wants to highlight all the work the local animal charities do. She has her own large bunch of animals including three dogs, seven cats, two ducks and a horse!"
