MODEL railway enthusiasts will be making tracks for Keighley next weekend.
A 7mm Festival is being staged on Sunday, October 13, by Keighley Model Railway Club.
The event – at the clubrooms, in Knowle Mill, South Street, between 10am and 4.30pm – will feature around ten club and guest layouts.
“The festival has matured into one of the top events in the northern O-gauge calendar,” said a club spokesman.
“In addition to the layouts, there will be dedicated O-gauge traders, clinics and displays from established groups and individuals.
“Also, a bring-and-buy table will be offering bargains to anyone interested in the scale.”
Catering will be provided by Denholme Scouts, with a range of hot and cold food and homemade cakes available throughout the day. Organisers say there is wheelchair access to the premises, but warn that there are no wheelchair-accessible toilets.
Admission to the event is £4 for adults and £2.50 for children.
The festival is among several events staged by the club during the year. There are also regular club nights on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Saturday-afternoon sessions. The junior section also meets on Saturdays.
