JOSHUA Burnside will take his rumbling, brooding, powerful and magnetic music to Victoria Hall in Settle on November 16.
The Sunday Times said there was an indefinable quality and charm to Joshua, as he played music that is not typical Irish folk.
A spokesman said: “An electrifying performer and no stranger to the UK live circuit, Joshua will look to re-connect with fans from all over the country after a summer spent at festivals such as Cambridge Folk Festival and Glastonbury.
“With a set list comprised of hits such as ‘Blood Drive’, ‘The Good Word’ and ‘Northern Winds’, as well as never-before-heard material, Joshua is an unmissable experience.”
Ephrata Vinyl, recently reissued on vinyl, was awarded Best Album at the Northern Ireland Music Prize 2017, going on to have 12 million streams on Spotify.
Kris Drever, the Scottish folk singer-songwriter, will perform at Victoria Hall in Settle on Saturday October 19.
Kris has won multiple awards including seven BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, two shortlist nominations for Scottish Album of The Year (with his trio Lau), and much acclaim for his solo recordings and concerts. There will be support from local musician Ben Avison.
