ORGANISERS of a community car wash hope it will clean-up for charity.

The event, which takes place on Sunday (Oct 20), is raising funds for the Airedale NHS Foundation Trust Charitable Fund.

The car wash is being staged at Waxworks, in Sunderland Street, Keighley, from 11am to 5pm.

Free coffee and cake will be available.

Airedale Enterprise Services (AES) is teaming-up with Waxworks for the event, which will be the first of several for the hospital charity during the coming months.

The aim is to raise awareness of Airedale Hospital’s 50th birthday next year and coin-in funds for resources the trust doesn’t have a budget for.

Plus it is hoped to bring together communities to support the hospital, under the #mytownmytrust banner.

Jodie Hearnshaw, fundraising manager with the Airedale NHS Foundation Trust Charitable Fund, said it was delighted with the initiative.

“The support of our local community is vital to help us provide the best possible care for our patients,” she added.

“The creation of #mytownmytrust will enable us to work together as a community to celebrate 50 years of Airedale Hospital and look forward to a very bright future.”
