A DISTRICT MP is backing an Alzheimer’s Society campaign which aims to put dementia at the heart of social care reform.
Philip Davies, whose Shipley constituency includes Cullingworth and Denholme, met with representatives from the charity and pledged his commitment to its Fix Dementia Care initiative.
“I am proud to offer my support to people affected by dementia and have made the case to Government ministers for urgent social care reform,” he said.
“No one should be forced to sell their home to pay for care. Adult social care needs reform so it can meet the unique needs of people living with dementia and ensure they can access the good quality care they require and deserve.”
