THE Skipton Roses continued their development with a non-contact development session against Baildon under-18 girls on Sunday.
With 12 players on each team playing on a full pitch, both teams were able to benefit from the session.
The Roses got a taste of how a game flows, how to attack a defensive line, find gaps, creating a ruck, ball presentation and how a defensive line needs to work to close down space.
One lucky Rose even got to experience running 70 metres to score a try.
The Baildon girls were able to show their passing skills, use of the ball, speed of reset both in attack and defence and their support play.
It was a successful afternoon of development rugby for both teams and together they helped to showcase women’s and girls' rugby in Yorkshire.
