A 25TH anniversary concert by Silsden choir the Cobbydale Singers was a huge success.

The performance at Silsden Methodist Church with guests Partners In Harmony was in aid of Airedale Oncology Unit and Silsden Town Hall.

Cobbydale Singers member Elaine Isherwood said: “We had a wonderful evening and raised £830 to be shared between our two charities.

“Partners In Harmony made a brilliant contribution and we were delighted with our very receptive audience.”

The Cobbydale Singers produced a 25th anniversary CD from sale at the concert, with proceeds going to the Manorlands hospice at Oxenhope.

The Cobbydale Singers were formed in Silsden by Elaine Isherwood and Christine Barrett and have been entertaining local audiences ever since.

In 2014 the choir recorded a CD to sell in aid of Manorlands, launching it with a performance for the Craven Manorlands Support Group, closely followed by a concert at St Peter’s Church in Cross Hills.

Over the years the Cobbydale Singers have shared the concert stage with the likes of Steeton Male Voice Choir, Nelson Arion Male Voice Choir and opera singer Hannah Mason.

Partners In Harmony, a group of male singers, disbanded a few years ago but reformed for the anniversary concert.
