THE Skipton Building Society Camerata and premier choir The Clothworkers’ Consort of Leeds under the directorship of Ben Crick will perform the much loved musical masterpiece Handel’s Messiah in Skipton on Saturday, December 7.

This classical oratorio has become a regular feature in the lead up to Christmas and features the rousing ‘Hallelujah’ Chorus, one of the most famous pieces of Baroque choral music in the world.

For this performance, they will be joined by a formidable line-up of soloists, including the return of the multi-talented soprano Peyee Chen, who wowed the audience in the Camerata’s Skipton Town Hall performance of Bach’s St John Passion in 2017, plus tenor Joseph Doody and Australian baritone Leslie John Flanagan.
