KEIGHLEY firm Blueprint Product Solutions has delivered an inspirational product design workshop to students at Appleton Academy in Wyke.

Following the presentation from staff, the 20-plus students presented their designs to Blueprint who were impressed with the students' innovation and passion for the subject.

Blueprint marketing manager Olivia Crichton said: "With a decline in creative subjects at GCSE level, both Blueprint and Appleton Academy believed the workshop to be a great way to promote creative subjects and inspire students.

"We are passionate about the value of design to industry and always welcome the opportunity to inspire the next generation of design professionals."

Appleton Academy product design teacher Rachel Henshaw said the school was always striving for students to gain ‘real-life’ experiences of what the design industry involved.

She added: "By working with professionals, students are able to access quality and expert feedback which can then be utilised in a classroom setting and have an impact on their outcomes.”
