SEVERAL peaks around Keighley feature in a new book.
Coppy Hill near Laycock and Rivock Edge above Riddlesden are among the entries in Yorkshire’s 1,000-Foot Peaks.
“This is the first-ever guide to the 833 hills of the county which reach the magic mini-mountain four-figure height,” said author Jeff Kent, who is also a musician and speaker.
The peaks have been identified by Mr Kent over the past four years and the book summarises the main hill ranges on which they’re located.
Each peak is described in detail, with comments on its main aspects– including shapes, slopes and subsidiary features.
Heights in feet and metres – and grid references for the summits – are listed.
The book is the latest in a series by Mr Kent on England’s 1,000-foot peaks.
Yorkshire’s 1,000-Foot Peaks retails at £14.75 and is available from bookshops and online from Amazon.
