ALLEY Gator will return to the Groovy Happening on Saturday December 7 to play rhythm and blues and rock classics. The five-piece band are a firm favourite with the Groovy audience at the Parkside Social Club in Haworth.
Alley Gator are Chris Burgin (vocals), Coz Tomlinson (lead guitar), Jamie Illingworth (bass), John Shipman (harmonica, rhythm guitar) and Colin Brown (drums).
Local trio Caledonia Road will start the night off, playing a mixture of covers in their own material, influenced by acts including The Beatles, Oasis, The Stone Roses, Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay, Blur and Jimi Hendrix.
Groovy organisers are grateful to Stuck in a Stance who have stepped in at short notice to play in December, playing covers mainly from the 1960s and 1970s. The band, describe themselves as ‘four old blokes trying to have a laugh and get folks to dance’.
