AN estate agent is backing a campaign to provide gifts for disadvantaged children this Christmas.
Dacre, Son & Hartley is collecting presents as part of the Radio Aire Cash for Kids and Mission Christmas initiative.
Staff are contributing items but the public is also invited to donate.
Presents – which should be new and unwrapped – can be taken to Dacre’s office in North Street, Keighley.
Emma Kerrywood, for the company, said: “The festive season is a special time for most of us but tens of thousands of deprived children in West Yorkshire, who live in poverty, could wake up on Christmas morning thinking it’s just another day because they haven’t got a single present to open.
“Every year Mission Christmas does an amazing job collecting, wrapping and distributing thousands of gifts for all age groups.
“However, they can only do this if they receive suitable gift donations and we’re delighted to be playing a role in helping them to spread some festive cheer.
“We’re already seeing a great response.”
Everything is welcome, from baby clothes and toys to toiletries and gift vouchers for older ones.
Donations can be made up to December 11.
