A KEIGHLEY man has for the third year running given a winter coat of varnish to a bench outside Oakworth crematorium. Ian Tighe first spruced up the bench, on Slack Lane, while paying his respects to his late mother and father at the crematorium.
He said: “The bench was in a really sorry state. On my second year, a local lady informed me the bench was paid for and placed in position by the local Fryer family. Whilst varnishing the bench this time, my efforts were warmly appreciated by young and old locals alike. I will be back next year.”
