KEIGHLEY Market is getting into the Christmas spirit.

A series of festive activities is planned at the Low Street hall.

This weekend and next (Dec 14/15 and 21/22) Santa will be in his grotto, helped by his elves.

There will also be face painting and colouring-in, a tombola in aid of Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice Manorlands and Dementia Friendly Keighley (DFK), and screenings of Santa’s Workshop.

This Saturday, a Christmas tree decorations workshop will take place next to the grotto, between 10am and 2pm.

Traders at pet stall Just 4 Paws have created a Christmas memory tree, which is located at the main entrance to the market, for people to remember loved ones lost during the year. Donations to place a memory card will go to Manorlands and DFK. The tree has been given by Bryant Plastics Ltd, in memory of its founders Barry and Catherine Bryant.
