A HOUSEBUILDER is gifting its support to charity this Christmas.
Barratt Developments Yorkshire West – which has schemes including Vision in Keighley and Saxon Dene, Silsden – is backing Candlelighters.
Staff created a Santa’s workshop, complete with a present-wrapping production line, and gifts are being given to youngsters at the charity’s Christmas party.
Candlelighters supports children affected by cancer, and their families.
It provides help in a range of ways, including home-from-home accommodation, holidays and support and wellbeing services. And it funds research into childhood cancers.
David Coe, development director at Barratt Developments Yorkshire West, said: “We had a wonderful day wrapping presents for Candlelighters.
“The charity supports children with cancer and their families 365 days a year, so donating a day of our time to help it make the Christmas season happier for these families was such an easy choice.”
Amy Harrison, for Candlelighters, said the Christmas party brings together over 400 children and parents.
