A NEW business park next to Keighley Cricket Club, with the aim of supporting around 30 jobs, is taking shape.

Steeton-based development company Onewood Group has erected the steel framework for all three planned units on the land at Royd Way.

Managing director Tom Wood estimates the complex at the 2,775-square-metre site will be complete by early May next year.

The site is a combination of vacant land and an unused corner of the cricket club.

The cricket club sold the land at the corner of its pitch to raise money for much-needed improvements to its pavilion, changing facilities and clubhouse.

He said: “Even though this will be a small development, small units will supply the needs of small businesses. Every development like this means we are going in the right direction.”

Cllr Hussain said the site was ideally placed next to Hard Ings Road, which is currently being widened to a dual carriageway.
