KEIGHLEY social housing group Incommunities has made a Christmas donation to mental health charity Mind.

Incommunities has presented £1,000 to the cause, which is the chosen charity of the Chartered Institute of Housing president Aileen Evans.

The presentation was made at The Big Conversation, a learning and development event run by the institute for future housing leaders.

Each year, Incommunities makes a festive donation to a different charity in lieu of sending Christmas cards to customers and partner organisations.

Group chief executive, Geraldine Howley, said: “We are proud to support Mind in Aileen’s presidential year.

“Mental health is something that touches us all and over the last 70 years Mind has worked hard to improve people’s lives and offer the support everyone deserves. We know that our younger generation is particularly affected by mental health issues, with three in five young people experiencing a problem themselves, or knowing of someone close who has.”
