BROWNIES will benefit from a £750 funding boost for a community building in Riddlesden.
Emma Groves is leader at the Brownie pack meeting at the Community Hall attached the United Reformed Church on Bar Lane.
She successfully applied for a £250 grant from Keighley Big Local Partnership to improve the building.
Big Local supported Emma in securing a further £500 from the Community Chest fund run by Bradford Council's Keighley Area Office.
Big Local coordinator Shaun O'Hare said his organisation – run by volunteers living in neighbourhoods along the River Worth – was proud to support the brownies.
He said: "Emma and the team provide the young girls with fantastic experiences and the opportunity to gain new skills.
"We are looking forward to working with Emma to develop ideas to further embed the brownies in wider community activity."
