A CHARITY evening at a Keighley motorcycle dealership has been hailed as a “fantastic” success.
The event, at the Colin Appleyard showroom, raised £3,000 for Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice Manorlands.
Stars of the evening were Silsden’s 12-times world motorcycle trials champion, Dougie Lampkin, and his cousin John, who spoke to the 180-strong audience about their exploits.
Brad Jones and Rory Skinner, the 2020 Integro Yamaha Appleyard Macadam riders, also took to the stage to talk about the British Supersport Championship and their expectations for the coming season.
Compere was Jack Appleyard, son of the company’s managing director, Robin.
Guests could enjoy pie and peas and a drink.
Robin said: “It was another fantastic event. Thanks go to everyone who came along and the organising team for giving-up its time to set-up and run the evening.”
