KEIGHLEY people are being urged to nominate ‘heart heroes’.
A charity has launched its annual search for those who have done something inspirational related to beating heart disease.
Recognition could be for fundraising, volunteering or helping patients and their families.
The British Heart Foundation is staging the awards, which are split into three categories – Healthcare Hero, Young Heart Hero and the Inspiration Award.
Spokesman Simon Gillespie said: “Heart and circulatory diseases affect the lives of millions of people across the UK, yet there are many ordinary people who – when confronted with that challenge – are doing extraordinary things. These awards celebrate the efforts of those who are working selflessly to make life better for others.”
