KEIGHLEY’s New Variety Club has embarked on another year of organising concerts to raise money for Manorlands.
The venue in Russell Street will begin its latest season of singers and bands with the return of a popular Elvis Presley tribute act on January 25.
A Keighley X Factor competition will begin on January 31, nd will be held on or around the last Friday of each month.
Entrants must be 18 or over, and must sign up each evening by 8pm with their name and song choice.
The best performers in each heat will go through to a final in December, with the winner receiving £250 plus a recording session at RMJ Studios.
Venue owner Elaine Marshall said: “The competition is hosted by Keighley’s talented female vocalist and karaoke presenter Emzy and Michael Baker.”
Doors will open at 7pm, and the competition will start at 8.30pm.
