INVESTIGATIONS are continuing into a reported robbery at a Keighley town-centre building society.

Police remain at the scene, at the Skipton Building Society, in Cavendish Street, this afternoon.

A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with the inquiry.

Officers were called to the building society at 12.23pm today.

The branch has been shut to the public while the police investigation continues.

There were no reports of any weapons being used or injuries.

"An arrest has been made and inquiries are ongoing," said a West Yorkshire Police spokesman.

It is not known if anything was stolen.

A spokesman for the Skipton Building Society said: "Our priority is to ensure that staff and customers have the support they need.

"We are working with the police and helping them in any way we can with their investigation."
