CAST members from a panto spread some cheer on the Airedale Hospital children’s ward.

Four stars who were treading the boards in Aladdin provided a tonic to young patients at the Steeton site.

The quartet was comedy star Rikki Stone as Wishee Washee, Steve Boyce as Widow Twankey, Emmerdale’s Kelsey Beth Crossley – Princess Jasmine – and Sean Smith, from X Factor band Same Difference, who was starring as Aladdin.

“Children and their families were delighted to see the panto characters on the ward in their bright and colourful costumes – and staff members also joined in the fun!” said a hospital spokesman.

“We were extremely grateful for the visit.”

The performers had taken time out of their packed schedule appearing in the panto at The Muni Theatre, Colne, to call at the hospital.

It was the theatre’s biggest-ever pantomime, and also starred Bruce Jones – of Coronation Street fame.

Pendle Leisure Trust had joined forces with Shone Productions Ltd for the new version of Aladdin, which ran to large audiences until last weekend.
