BUS users are being offered cut-price travel across West Yorkshire.
Passengers are being given the chance to save money when they top-up their Pink MCard with Bus DaySavers in advance.
The move means people can enjoy unlimited, all-day any-bus travel throughout West Yorkshire for £5.
When bought from the driver, Bus DaySavers cost £6.70.
Joanna Chew, commercial development manager at the West Yorkshire Ticketing Company, said: “As work patterns change with more variable, part-time and flexible working, Bus DaySavers are proving popular with people commuting to their jobs as well as leisure travellers. They can be bought in advance on a Pink MCard, individually or in bundles of three, five or ten.
“Through MCard – which is one of the country’s most used smartcards outside of London – we are aiming to make using buses and trains simpler, more affordable and attractive. And as their popularity shows, Bus DaySavers are doing that job.”
Pink MCards are available free at m-card.co.uk – which also has further information – and can be loaded with DaySavers using a free android app at Payzone outlets, at MCard ticket machines or at one of West Yorkshire’s nine bus station travel centres, including Keighley.
