IT’S eyes down for a charity event.

The Silsden and Steeton Manorlands fundraising group is staging another of its popular bingo evenings.

The event takes place at The Hub, in Steeton, on Thursday, February 27, from 7pm.

In addition to the bingo, there will be refreshments, a tombola, craft stall and homemade cards.

All proceeds will help fund the care provided by the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice.

Manorlands supports patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families at the hospice and in the community, across an area covering Craven, Airedale and Wharfedale as well as parts of Bradford.

All services are free to patients and their loved ones, but it costs £10,000 a day to keep the hospice doors open.

Only a small part of the cost, £1.2m, is covered by statutory funding. Most of the funds have to be raised through voluntary donations.
