A CHARITY has received a £500 boost from Keighley’s Airedale Shopping Centre.

The money has been presented to Keighley and Airedale Cancer Support Group, the centre’s chosen charity of the year.

Steve Seymour, the shopping centre manager, said: “We’re thrilled that we were able to present a cheque for £500 to the group.

“The charity works so hard to help so many and we are committed to providing ongoing support to organisations such as this in our community.”

Rachael Moorhouse, founder of Keighley and Airedale Cancer Support Group, was delighted with the donation.

“We were thrilled to be the Airedale Shopping Centre’s charity of the year for 2019 – it’s been such a valuable partnership and has meant so much to us as an organisation,” she said.

“Through working with the centre, we have been able to increase our profile and generate more awareness of our services, which is so important in letting people know we are local and that we are here for them.

“This money will go a long way in helping us to provide holistic therapies for people with cancer in our local area.

“These therapies assist in reducing stress and anxieties, which are so common in cancer sufferers.

“We are so thankful to Steve and the rest of the Airedale team.”
