A HOSPICE support group has enjoyed a record year of fundraising.
The Riddlesden and East Morton Manorlands Fundraising Group last year coined-in a whacking £111,554.
“This is a fantastic achievement,” said Andrew Wood, community fundraising manager at the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice.
He joined group members at a celebratory event at the Balti House, in Keighley, and thanked them on behalf of the charity.
The money was raised through a wide range of activities and events – including stalls, coffee mornings and collection cans.
And the group supported the Manorlands fundraising team with a zip slide from South Craven landmark Sutton Pinnacle, which attracted more than 300 daredevils; a fourth annual Paintrush at Marley playing fields and the Mascot Gold Cup, held during a family day at Wetherby racecourse.
Members have numerous events planned for this year, including a ceilidh on March 14.
The group welcomes new members.
