DOZENS of youngsters from across Keighley came together at Marley sports field to play football in aid of Manorlands.

Mohammed Kasam, of Shann Park, organised the five-a-side soccer tournament in memory of his late brother Mohammed Maroof who died seven years ago.

In the years since, Mohammed Kasam and his family and friends have organised fundraising events in tribute to the young boy, including car washes last year that raised about £200.

Mohammed said: "Maroof was at Manorlands in his final stages. We have the charity football event pretty much every year in aid of this cause, to support people with similar illnesses at the hospice."

A dozen teams took part in the tournament this year, with around 60 or 70 boys aged 12 and under. The event raised £150.
