AN inquest into the death of a teenage boy who was struck by a train opened today.
Tom Young, 16, an apprentice bricklayer from Cross Hills, died on Saturday, February 1, in the incident near Steeton and Silsden Station.
The inquest heard he was due to go to work that day, but did not turn up.
The alarm was raised with police and the inquest heard that earlier that morning, a train struck a young male who had run out on to the track.
Investigations are continuing, but the brief hearing heard there are no suspicious circumstances.
