MANORLANDS is high in the pecking order of Bantams fan Nick Kitchen.

He staged a raffle and raised £900 for the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice.

Nick chose to support Manorlands as a thank-you for the care and support it gave to his grandmother in the final weeks of her life.

Backers of the raffle included his beloved Bradford City FC.

Nick said: “It was a total pleasure to raise funds in memory of my grandma.

“Being a huge City fan I want to thank everyone at the club for the fantastic prizes they were able to donate and all those who contributed and supported my fundraising in any way.

“We have also raised a lot of awareness for Manorlands hospice and the crucial work it does. It was great to know that my grandma was being looked after so well in the time she had. I am glad I’ve been able to help support Manorlands’ work so that it can continue into the future.”

Harriet Wood, community fundraiser at the hospice, praised Nick and all those who gave their support.

“The £900 will help us to continue providing our much-needed care,” she said.
