A KEIGHLEY woman is staging another bun sale to support her disabled granddaughter.
June Wormald holds several sales a year to help fund 13-year-old Charlotte’s life-enhancing trips to a medical facility in the Czech Republic.
During her stays in the country, Charlotte – who has cerebral palsy – spends a gruelling six days a week at the Klimkovice sanatorium undergoing a range of therapeutic and rehabilitative treatments including physiotherapy.
She has been receiving the specialist treatment since she was five years old.
The latest sale of bakes and preserves takes place at the Airedale Shopping Centre in Keighley on Saturday, March 7, between 9am and 4pm.
“We get a lot of support for the sales – people are always very good,” said June.
“Family and friends help bake items and there are many people who come to us every time – we are extremely grateful.”
Charlotte – whose latest visit to the Czech Republic will be in April – now lives in Menston, but was born at Airedale Hospital and previously lived at Riddlesden.
