A HISTORIC engine which once powered a Bradley mill will be in action on Sunday, March 8.
The 1901 steam machine (pictured), which used to provide the power for the former Peter Green’s Cross Lane Mill, will be operating for the first time since last November.
Visitors to the Bancroft Mill museum, Barnoldswick, can see the engine – which was restored by volunteers after being relocated to the site about 16 years ago – running at intervals between 1pm and 3.45pm.
Volunteers at the museum have met regularly throughout the winter to carry out a range of tasks, including maintenance of the engines.
