SILSDEN-based Ecology Building Society has a new finance director.
Amanda Chambers has 20 years’ experience in financial services.
“I am delighted to be joining the team,” she said.
“I’m looking forward to playing a key part in the future success and development of the society and helping to ensure that we continue to meet the needs of all of our members.”
Her appointment follows the announcement that Pam Waring would be stepping down as deputy chief executive and finance director after 34 years. Company secretary responsibilities will be taken on by HR manager Denise Davies.
The society’s chief executive officer, Paul Ellis, said: “I would like to thank Pam for her outstanding contribution to the society and her unwavering support. While we’ll miss her, I am really pleased to welcome Amanda to Ecology. Her wide-ranging and comprehensive experience will be a major asset.”
