THE NIGHT Café will headline the Stylus in Leeds on April 2 with their brooding but dazzlingly catchy music.
Music website DIY said the Liverpool band played big, bright pop that placed them firmly alongside the new generation of indie bands.
Night Café's latest tour aims to build on the success of their acclaimed debut album 0151, released last August, which followed the EPs Get Away From The Feeling and Bunkbed.
A spokesman said: "The album is without a doubt the perfect encapsulation of The Night Café's development as a band, embracing the nuances that drew fans to them in the first place, whilst also bringing deeper, darker elements into play.
"It's an accomplished, forward-thinking debut that will no doubt come to define the alternative landscape of the present time."
