YORKSHIRE Men's League Premier Division side Brighouse Rangers will play their final scheduled pre-season friendly at home to Kirkburton Cougars today.

They were promoted from Division One last season, winning 11 of their 15 games to finish second.

They are now in the top flight alongside Queensbury, who warmed up for the league season by beating Wyke 32-12 in a friendly last Saturday. Thomas Hainsworth scored two tries for the victors.

Queensbury are not back in action until next weekend, when they travel to East Hull for their Premier Division opener, one of only two competitive YML games to be scheduled for next weekend.

With Queensbury having a free weekend, today it is the turn of their 'A' team, who welcome Ossett Trinity Tigers to town for a friendly.

Wyke do not have a game either, following their drubbing at Queensbury, but still have one more friendly before their Division One campaign starts, as they host Elland next weekend.

But Wyke Academy do have a game today, as they visit Garforth Tigers for a friendly.

All of the aforementioned games kick off at 2pm, while Keighley Albion's home game with Farnley Falcons begins at 2:15pm.
