A DOCTORS' surgery is appealing for donations after five bottles of hand sanitiser were allegedly taken.
The sanitiser, which has become increasingly sought-after in the last month after the coronavirus outbreak saw people stock up, was taken from Essex House, part of the Camrose, Gillies and Hackwood Partnership, last week, according to the surgery.
On a post on Facebook, they said they were running "critically low".
"We are appealing to local businesses who are closed to donate any unused hand sanitiser to us, if they are able to, so that we can continue to protect our patients and staff," the surgery said.
They also appealed for anyone willing to donate moisture-resistant face masks to get in touch, saying they would be "extremely grateful".
It comes as the number of coronavirus cases in the UK increased again yesterday.
Hampshire still has the second highest number of cases, on 432, behind Birmingham with 513.
There are 19,552 cases in the UK, with 2,433 new cases across the country announced yesterday.
