A NINE-year-old Keighley girl has the key to cheering up her neighbours as they take their daily walk.
Grace Halifax made keyrings out of coloured beads which she hangs from her garden gate so people can take one as they walk past.
Proud grandma Wilma Halifax said: “We are so proud of what she has done, making free keyrings and giving them away to make people smile.
Grace is just one of many children across Keighley using their windows, fences or gates to spread messages of cheer during the lockdown.
Keighley woman Vicki Louise Robinson said her son and nephew had put pictures of rainbows and the message ‘Keep Smiling’ in their windows.
She said: “We’ve seen lots of people smile while going past and it would be great for all schoolkids stuck indoors to get involved.”
Hayley Kearton has set up a Facebook group entitled #frommywindowkeighley to showcase artwork done by Keighley children to cheer up people passing their homes.
