A FURTHER four patients have died at Airedale General Hospital after testing positive for coronavirus, bringing the total now to nine.

Two of the patients died yesterday and two on Monday.

A further three patients have died at Bradford Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

NHS England said since yesterday's update, a further 486 people had died in England bringing the total in the country to 2,137.

Nationally, 563 more deaths were recorded bringing the total in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales to 2,352, a leap of 48 per cent day-on-day.

A statement from NHS England said the patients who died in England were aged between 13 and 99. Twenty of the patients (aged between 13 and 93) had no known underlying health conditions.

There families have been informed.

Currently there is no data from Airedale on how many people have been treated and discharged or are in its care at the moment.
