THE ALZHEIMER'S Society is reaching out to Keighley people with dementia, their family and carers, during the Covid-19 outbreak.
Dementia Friendly Keighley this week highlighted the society's efforts to help people while regular support and activity groups were not being held.
The local branch of the Alzheimer's Society has also had to suspend face-to-face visits across Bradford district until further notice.
The society is contacting everyone who uses its groups to ask whether they would like a regular phone call to see if they are alright.
A Dementia Friendly Keighley spokesman said: "If anyone wants to ring the Alzheimer's Society to talk about concerns or anything about living with dementia, the number is 01274 586008.
"You might get an answer machine message but they will ring you back. Or you can email at bradford@alzheimers.org.uk.
"The society will continue to take new referrals from people who have just been diagnosed with dementia and their carers and will give support and information by phone."
