THREE MORE coronavirus deaths at Hampshire's hospitals have been confirmed.

It now means that 26 people have died at Basingstoke, Andover and Winchester hospitals after testing positive for Covid-19.

Yesterday, nine more deaths were announced in the region, the largest increase in a single day here since the outbreak began.

Across England, 604 more people have died from coronavirus, which brings the total to 3,302.

Patients were aged between 24 and 100 years old, whilst 34 of the the 604, aged between 27 and 92 years old, had no known underlying health conditions.

Earlier today, it was confirmed that 38,168 people across the UK tested positive for the virus, whilst 3,605 have died.

The regional breakdown for today has not yet been released, but it was announced yesterday that a total of 887 people in Hampshire have tested positive for the virus.

This includes 105 in Southampton, 83 in Portsmouth and 699 in the rest of Hampshire, which includes Basingstoke and Andover.
