A DEDICATED webpage has been set-up to help businesses across the region struggling financially due to the coronavirus crisis.

The site, launched by the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership, spotlights latest support available from the Government.

In addition, a programme of ‘webinars’ is planned and the partnership is introducing a mentoring scheme, which will offer businesses some free support from a volunteer expert.

Partnership chairman, Roger Mash, also praises businesses in the region which are upping the manufacture of products to help the NHS – and he is appealing to other companies able to assist, to come forward.

“It’s a real testament to the manufacturing capability in our region that businesses are responding swiftly to the urgent needs of the NHS,” he said. “I’d like to appeal to other businesses to come forward as the Government is urgently seeking suppliers of protective masks, gowns, hand sanitiser, medical testing equipment and more.”
