SILLY Sundays organised by the Cricketers Arms are continuing even though the pub is closed for lockdown.

DJs who normally play monthly fun sessions at the pub in Coney Lane, Keighley, instead live-streamed their show on Easter Sunday through the online platform Twitch.

A link to a JustGiving page raised £245 for Homeless Just Not Hopeless as the DJs streamed from their own homes..

Pub spokesman Helen Willoughby said: "Silly Sunday is DJs playing out the back of the pub and a band upstairs. It provides a great day whilst also raising money for charity,

"We usually have a Bytchmix cocktail bar out back and we also have a barbecue and raffle where the proceeds go to charity.

"We also like to try other fundraising methods – in the past we have had people raise money by shaving their heads, a face painter and a fire breather.

"We'll be doing it again on May 24 as we don't think we'll be allowed to open before then. The DJss are organised by Joe Buttrick (DJ Barney) and all do it for free."
