JON RICHARDSON is the Knitwit as he brings his latest comedy show to St George’s Hall in Bradford on September 10.

The title is probably a reference to the sharp-witted comic’s love of woolly cardigans, which is sure to play a part in the show.

The Guardian said Richardson presented a wildly funny whinge of volcanic frustrations, while Metro praised his “moany old brilliance” and GQ magazine his whip-smart comedy and extraordinary mind.

A spokesman said: “Will the recycling be put out on the right day? Who is going to smooth over the top of the margarine? How many lights are on upstairs when everybody is downstairs?

“Watch Jon pretend that these aren’t his foremost concerns as he leaves home on his first tour since the last one.”

Richardson is known as a team captain on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown (Channel 4) and Dave’s Ultimate Worrier, and he has also created new sitcom Meet the Richardsons.

He has also appeared on Would I Lie To You (BBC One), Have I Got News For You (BBC One), Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow (BBC One) and Taskmaster (Dave).

The recommended age for the show is strictly 14-plus.
