SKIPTON Rotary has donated £700 to Hermanus Rotary in South Africa to help with the purchase of digital thermometers needed for diagnosis of Covid-19 infections at Hermanus Hospital.
Thje club was thanked by Ann Wright, President of Hermanus Rotary, who e-mailed: "Just to let you know that today was a wonderful day.
"We were able to deliver 13 thermometers to the Hermanus hospital, eight of which came from the generous donation received from Skipton Rotary.
"The Superintendent of the hospital could not believe how quickly we were able to act and get the 13 thermometers to them.
"The masks hid the absolute delight and huge smiles of the medical staff - being a medical facility they would not permit ‘no masks’ for the photo.
"Once again, thank you for enabling Rotary Hermanus to make a difference in our community."
