CHILDREN in lockdown have created a dance video in response to an uplifting video made by their teachers.

Staff at Sutton C of E Primary School last month posted a video on Facebook of themselves dancing to Pharrell Williams’s hit song, Happy.

The presented it as an Easter treat to bring smiles to the faces of pupils stuck at home during the coronavirus lockdown.

Appreciative parents then got together to film their children dancing for a similar video of them dancing to Justin Timberlake's Can't Stop The Feeling.

One of the parents, Claire Westmoreland, said: "The children all love their school and the staff, and I know they are missing their friends and their teachers.

"They decided to make their own dance video to boost the school morale. It's a happy positive message to show their teachers how much they mean to us all.

"I believe that the teachers supporting our key workers are the unsung heroes and they deserve the love and support of the communities they are supporting."

In the original Happy video, staff could be seen dancing, trampolining, gardening, juggling, playing with their pets, and even feeding sheep – all in time to the music.
