MEMBERS of Keighley’s Ahmadiyya Muslim Association have shown their appreciation to staff at Airedale Hospital for their efforts during the coronavirus crisis.
The association has donated 200 meals as a ‘thank you’ to workers at the Steeton site.
“NHS staff are putting their lives at risk while most of us are safe at home during these unprecedented times,” said Keighley Ahmadiyya Muslim Association president, Mujeeb Rahman.
“We have also enthusiastically participated in our organisation’s national #PrayForHeroes twitter campaign, which has coincided with the national Clap for Carers initiative on Thursdays. This again recognises the ongoing tremendous work being done by NHS staff and other key workers in fighting coronavirus.”
Keighley members have taken various steps to support people in the community during the current crisis.
Households have been contacted to check whether people need any help, such as with the delivery of essential supplies and prescriptions.
And online support has been made available to members.
