A KEIGHLEY community organisation has received £500 to support its work helping people during the coronavirus crisis.

The Sue Belcher Centre – run by Bracken Bank & District Community Association – will buy toiletries, puzzles and activity books for food parcels.

The donation is from the Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation, whose chairman of trustees Gordon Rogers said: “The impact coronavirus is having is unparalleled and we are helping charities which support the ongoing needs of the most vulnerable in our communities.”

Jayne McDonnell, for Bracken Bank & District Community Association, said: “We are thankful for the donation, which will help us carry on our work through the coronavirus outbreak.”
