WEM Market will begin reopening in June, with a limited number of stalls returning to Jubilee Square.
The market will return on Thursday, June 4, with four stalls being open for customers.
Visitors to the market will be able to purchase from the fruit and vegetable, fish and plant stalls, with the burger van also open.
Full social distancing rules will still be in place though, with a queueing system in operation, and a one-in one-out system also in operation during busy times.
A spokesman for the market insisted people use the market for essential purchases only.
They said: "Please help support the market and adhere to these guidelines and please do not use the market as a reason to meet up with other people.
"This is for essential purchases only and not for public gatherings."
Additional stalls will also be added to the outdoor market over the coming weeks after the re-opening.
"The indoor market will return at a later date which is still to be confirmed," the spokesman added.
"We look forward to seeing you then."
