SOUL will live on at King’s Hall in Ilkley as The Real Thing announce a new date for their planned show.
The hitmakers were due to perform on April 17 this year, but due to coronavirus have rescheduled their concert for February 13, 2021.
The group’s original vocalists Chris Amoo and Dave Smith will headline the performance, playing some of their multi-million selling songs.
A spokesman said: “They will give their much-loved disco inspired hits a new lease of life in this funky show, with the band’s classic songs mixed with contemporary grooves.
“The Real Thing had three million selling hit singles in the 1970s – You To Me Are Everything, Can’t Get By Without You and Feel The Force. In the 80s they were all remixed and became huge hits again.
The Real Thing recently released The Real Thing Live DVD and CD, recorded at the Philharmonic Hall, Liverpool.
